I purchased two of these for my boys, ages 9 and 11. I wanted them to have the independence of being able to ride their bikes to friends' houses and to the playground this summer, but still be able to keep track of their locations and communicate with them. These worked great. Setting them up was very easy, the app is user friendly, and there have been no problems. I am easily able to communicate with both boys at once, or with them separately using different channels. Unfortunately, my older son lost his at the playground with a dead battery, so even using the locator on the app we were unable to find it. When I contacted the company, they immediately sent me a replacement free of charge. I am very happy with this product and their custumer service.

Sound is more akin to a walker talkie but other than that it’s great. My family is actually using it as a safety device my 4 year old can use to call me if my wife has a epileptic seizure. It’s a Godsend. And the $10 a month per device is incredibly affordable.

I bought two of these and love them. One for my 5 year old son, and one for me. It took about 2 days to get him to fully understand how to operate the device, and how to talk into it (If you talk too closely it sounds like junk). Now we are two pros at it! He checks up on me at work, or if I get a late night call out. And he knows to only use it during breaks at school... Yes it’s $20 a month for the two devices, but we both love it...

We love our Relays! Setup was easy, the app walked us through the entire process. We loved being able to give our kids more freedom but still being able to check in with them or see where they were with the GPS feature. Battery life is good, we typically charge ours overnight, just like a phone. We were having some spotty coverage, but reached out to the support team and they sent us a new SIM card immediately. They are wonderful and we haven't had any issues since then!

Both of my kids have iPods that we’ve always sent with them for communication when they’ve gone to friends houses. I really wanted to find something that could provide GPS tracking and the ability to communicate when not connected to WiFi, but don’t feel they’re quite old enough to have a smart phone. Relay is the answer!! They can keep it in their bookbags at school in the event that an emergency arises and take it with them when running around the neighborhood or going to a friends house. It allows me to give them a little freedom while still feeling like I have tabs on them and knowing that they can call me if something comes up. I don’t have to worry about them “going out to play” and actually just sitting outside playing video games... An awesome kids cell phone alternative that gives Momma a worry free break and allows the kids to run and play!

We are loving our Relays! I went back and forth for several months before purchasing because we live in a rural area and don’t have great cell service but we get better coverage with our arelays than with our phones! My kids ages 4, 5, and 6 mastered useing them in about 10 minutes. Though I have to remind them to slow down when they are talking. They were easy to set up and the next day customer service contacted me to make sure everything was okay, which it was. The only down side I have found is they aren’t waterproof. Splash proof yes but not waterproof. I’m also not thrilled with the app, it’s easy to navigate but has to be running in the foreground to work so with the price of the Relays we just bought one for me too. They are a lot larger than I was expecting but that’s a good thing because the kids won’t lose them as easily. The GPS seems to be accurate. The sound quality is good enough. Battery life seems to be a couple days but we charge frequently. They were easy to set up and simple to use. Gives me peace of mind when the kids are out and about!

I'm not sure why this product is marketed for kids, but it's tremendously helpful for my disabled husband. He often needs my help when I'm too far away to hear him; but with the Relay, he can push one button and I hear him on my phone. (It was not entirely clear to me that his messages would come to my phone; that's probably because I didn't read the information carefully. Still, it bears pointing out.) The one-button part is important. It's often too dark for him to see his phone, or too difficult to put in all the digits or remember them. The one-button feature is a Godsend.

The Relay is the perfect solution to keeping track of our 9 year old as he gains a little more freedom to run about the neighborhood, walk to and from school by himself, etc. Sound quality is great, it's really durable and so easy to use!

So far so good. My son is not old enough for a phone though he needed a device to contact us. With all of his after school activities, sports, etc., this device will allow us to stay in contact. No screen-time issues and no internet browsing. Great starter “phone” for my 9 year old son. With they sold the accessories through Amazon as I’d like to purchase the case and lanyard. -Screen-less -Push to talk -GPS tracker -USB charger with magnetic hook up -$9.99 monthly fee

I have been soooo frustrated with the constant battles over my kids iPhones. I seriously have tried every monitoring app out there but they're honestly more work than their worth. I read about Relay on Real Si

I have been soooo frustrated with the constant battles over my kids iPhones. I seriously have tried every monitoring app out there but they're honestly more work than their worth. I read about Relay on Real Simple and OMG I can't even say how much I LOVE these! My 10-year-old son and I went to Target the other day and he wanted to check out the toy section while I shopped for groceries. It was great! He happily gave me a running narration of all the toys he wanted while I was on the other side of the store. And in the car on the way home he wasn't glued to a screen he was actually talking to me!!
